Just saw that we jump UNC in the ‘22 ranking, are now in the top 10, and #1 in the conference. Does anyone know what happened; did the holes have a de-commitment?

When he signed. Once they reviewed his tape, he was given a 3 star. If they’d do the same with Jackson, we’d probably be 9th

Thanks didn’t see that because they don’t show it on the Clemson team page, he’s still showing NA, you have to drill into the player’s profile to see the update.

Better OL and QB play - we in the CFP. And......

We were outside the top 10 composite(fr - 5th year senior) in 2016 when we won it. Meaning more than 10 teams out there had better "star-rated" talent than Clemson! But, the product on the field was undeniable!
Oregon and Boise State 10 - 15 years ago couldn't be touched on the field hardly and (while I know neither won the NC) teams were flat out scared to play them and their 3 star or two star players. No NC to show for it; but mostly because Boise St wasn't given a chance. Same with Utah a couple years when Urban Meyer was there - but nobody doubts they could have won it if given half a chance. Oregon didn't start getting the big names until after Chip Kelly and Nike came. The uniforms and the high tempo offense started getting them talent they never had access to.
Clemson bridged that gap in my opinion! Dabo and company mixed in "SOME" high-caliber talent along with some motivated lower star players along with forward thinking offensive and defensive concepts to "RULE" college football. Variables - throw the variables at me. But, that's exactly what happened.
I see no reason for it to not happen again for Clemson! Especially because I can see the NIL deals "imploding teams"! Instead of helping their programs some of these boosters who are hogging talent might start hurting "ON FIELD" performance because of greed(being out of position trying to make a play instead of playing their assignment for example). I love this recruiting class and I think Clemson Football is in a great spot!

We finished 9th in it but our average is only good for the 14th or 15th spot. We also by average would have the 3rd best class in the ACC. I guess it all depends on which part of the rankings you like to look at for your team.

Avg is the only way to compare classes of unequal size

And we got crushed by the bamas and osus of the world. Took way more 3*s than we are used to seeing. Still far better than the coots class they are so giddy over.

We will be okay!
Football is still a team game. CFB is a team game played by people who only half are eligible to buy alchhol. In other words, very young adults.
You can't get grown men to "stay hungry" once they get a taste of money and nice things.
Will it be a good recipe for some of these schools to spoil their football players? I don't think so!
Plus, going back to the recruiting! The way a kid can transfer at a whim b/c somebody is getting more p/t or more nil money - "does it really matter"?
I think that's one of those: "yet to be discovered things"!
The more lucrative the more problems! Evaluating talent and getting those overlooked players that saturate the NFL draft yearly will be big for Clemson.
