I don’t know how many of y’all saw this but I didn’t notice a thread about it yesterday on TNET so I figured I’d bring some good news to y’all today!
So I follow several Clemson pages on social media & one of them specifically covers recruiting & yesterday this page posted that Clemson is now believed to be leading for Sammy Brown!
ON3 made a new prediction that Clemson is the leader in his recruiting & that after his visit last weekend, Clemson stands on top!

Thank you for posting this. Would be huge to land him. We are looking pretty good on the defensive trail. Hopefully with Riley getting his footing and show off the offense in April, some will flip.

No problem, I immediately went to check & see if anything has changed for KJ Bolden & Charles Lester as far as predictions go & nothing has however its still very early on & I know Bolden spoke very highly of Clemson so hopefully we’re in for a huge class.
And for Riley on the recruiting trail, idk if I’m the only one who noticed this but I found it interesting that Jadyn Davis & another 5 star receiver (I can’t remember his name) both made sure to publicly state that their recruitment is fully open AFTER Riley was hired at Clemson.

Just hear Paul Strelow from Tiger illustrated say that we are all in on Parker White. Doubt we land Davis.

Yeah I saw a post earlier this week that said we will be getting a QB recruit on Friday (tomorrow) but the post didn’t specifically say who it was but eluded that is was Walker White. Which I’m fine with, he seems like a stud

Haha yes ON3 is a very reputable website for recruiting. From my understanding the owner of 247 sold that company & started ON3. It has only been around for about 4-5 years now but yes very much in the know. I really only reference 247 & them for recruiting information.

Yes, this same man(last name Terry, I think)originally owned Rivals and sold it to Yahoo then started 247 a few years back-

Good to hear! I just saw on 247 that Wiltfong CB'd Josiah Thompson and Blake Franks to SCAR. Looks like they put a major focus on the top in-state talent or lucked out with players growing up as gamecocks. Anybody have a pulse on our 2024 O-line recruiting, I know it's super early..

But we are about to lose two top OL in our state to a team who has never accomplished anything ever in football.
Our OL continues to be a sore spot on the team, and we need all the help we can get. We already have some suspect recruiters on the staff with Grisham and Spiller, so we don't need to add another ex-player coach to the list.
I am not ready to give up on Austin yet but losing these two plus having an OL that doesn't seem to develop is concerning!

You will have years like this where a kid(s) like Pringle and Thompson have grown up Gamecock fans and their proximity to Columbia. That’s the way it goes. As for Franks, I don’t know.

Can you tell us where you played OL and how long you have been coaching OL in college.
Also, I am sure the sstaff is concerned with your opinion, so let us know after you meet with Dabo and how he will address your concern.

SC offered both Thompson and Pringle 15 MONTHS, 1 YEAR & 3 MONTHS...

before we did. They weren't unknowns, they were well known bluechips, if not yet nationally throughout the southeast, Georgia also offered around the same time SC did(within 2 weeks of each other. They are not OGs that will have to put in tons of technique work to play out of position at offensive tackle(OT requires more athleticism & a height of 6'4" or better w/ long arms is preferred). They are both tackles and possess the prototypical size of an NFL OT.

He’s a stud! I think he’s definitely a Clemson guy and the type we land. The biggest competition might be Oklahoma. Brent is really good at LB recruiting and he’s going fight hard for that kid I guarantee it. I still like our chances Though.

I have thought for a while now that Sammy would end up at Clemson, he very clearly seems enamored with what Clemson has to offer & he just seems like a good kid. I hope we can reel in a few more big names though
