2023 Recruiting class - how many are we taking? My guess is

we may lose 1 or 2 due to NIL/$$$ being offered (hope not) but if we keep our 17..how many more will we take ?

I know the plan is to take another DT and DE so that's 2 DL there. If an oversign worthy O-lineman is available there will probably be 2 more OL. Not sure about the other positions.

I think we will be in a position to pounce on an over sign or two if a high-end recruit regardless of position expresses interest. If NIL deals don't materialize or promises go unfulfilled, we could have a few high-end recruits decide our culture is a better way to go. Also, taking a few openings into late fall allows us to be flexible to fill a need if we have a few who decide to jump into the portal during the season.

Let's be clear here. You're asking people who don't know anything about the recruiting situation at Clemson to tell you how many recruits will opt out and who doing what may opt in? Just a suggestion: Get out your Ouija board. The information gleaned will be just as useful.

Universal SOP on topics that either don't concern you or you lack awareness/you find yourself shamefully uninformed on the subject matter, is NOT to respond. On average how many committed players has lost per year over the last 10 years? We lost three last year but they seem to have been directly related to staff turnover. Otherwise maybe one per year on average?
So if history is an indicator and assuming no unusual circumstances I would not expect any more attrition. Will be interesting to see how it unfolds.

The 3 from IMG and one nearly ready to announce from Kansas were all highly rated. The Loss of those 3 from IMG was likely some inside meddling from their staff, I think.

Much of that history was prior to NIL & some pre-portal and as both are relatively new, the extent of their combined effects cannot yet concluded. As CFB further absorbs/evolves/adapts to (NIL/TFP), there may be further unforseen land minds ahead as result, more disorder-
