2022 Dline rotation

With Henry and Thomas likely gone, what does our 2 deep on the Dline look like going into spring practice? Do we have 4 or 5 DE's that we trust? I know we are thin up the middle, but the edges??

Really worried about DE. Patterson, Denhoff, Mascoll, Williams, Murphy pending if we sign someone on February. DT should be Page, Breese, Davis(maybe), Ruke, ET. Definitely need bodies.

I see a DT from Hawaii just entered the portal. A senior former 4 star. Was honorable mention in the conference. Had double digit TFL and 5 sacks I think? He was the 6'3 300 lb type that we love. Could be a good 1 year plug in our rotation. I think we are looking for 1 year type guys. Our 23 class will be 20+ in size.

Capehart at DT and Swint at DE. Both will be very good next year.

Don't forget about Capehart and Williams! If they can stay healthy we will be one of the best in the country up the middle.
Murph will God willing be back and be the unblockable force he is.
Greg Williams on the other side perhaps.
Will Kevin Swint play LB or DE?

With NIL and Portal and Promises from boosters - nowadays you never know!
But, if they come back, I like where we are at DE. Some guys people haven't heard of will have to step up. But, they were pretty much highly touted guys who hopefully have been working on getting better! As with every kid on the roster; you hope enough stick around to see it pay off for them! Meaning their hard work and effort.
With BV if you were in the dog house - you have a fresh start with Coach Wes! Come out and work like you want to be a key contributor and starter!
Dabo has said it probably a hundred times too that he is not opposed to going in the portal. If a need arises; I see him dipping in there! But, as the roster looks today, we are going to be solid on the DL. Need depth though. Some young guys; perhaps some under-recruited 3 star may have to step up and be a contributor early. But, we'll be fine.

DE if Henry leaves would be the bigger depth issue but still ok. Would like to pick ups couple DL for Feb signing but it’s more for 2023 than 2022
|

DT: Bresee - Ruke - Etinosa
DT: Davis - T Williams - Page
DE: Mascoll - G Williams - Denhoff
We are going to be stacked at DT. Murphy is great. This will be Mascoll’s money year. Depth at DE is concerning. Swint will be in year 2 at the position. Patterson and Denhoff were highly rated, hopefully one of them emerges.
