2018 QB Commit

If Trevor Lawrence decides to go to UGA do we have enough time to make up ground with Dakereon Joyner? He's taken 4 visits to USC in the last 5 months and I would assume he's going to commit regardless. Just looking at our other 2018 QB offers and everyone else is committed to other schools. Anyone have any insight?

That's kind of what I was thinking as well. We'll have Cooper, Israel, Brice, and Johnson so we'd probably be ok waiting until '19.

Joyner was wearing USUCK wrist bands at this past Friday's game. Remember it's only 2016 we have plenty of time to recruit another QB. This coaching staff has excelled at recruiting have faith no need to worry about 2018.

I would think we don't pursue another until 2019; to be honest our biggest hurdle with Trevor is our current and entering depth at qb. He likes to compete but that would be a lot of talent riding the pine.

Well luckily we have the same "weakness" in TL's recruitment as does our biggest competition, Georgia. They have a highly recruited 5* freshman starting right now (albeit underwhelmingly) and another highly ranked guy coming in the current class. Lawrence is not afraid of competition and it looks like whomever he choses will have a lot of young QB talent to choose from.
