2016 Roster Summary: How Many More Commits?

Hey everyone

I was looking at the roster breakdown today after seeing some questions about how many more recruits we could take in the 2016 class. I figured someone might be interested in the breakdown.

85 Scholarships

We lose the following Seniors (11):

CJ Davidson
Charone Peake
Stanton Seckinger
Ryan Norton
Joe Gore
Eric MacLain
Jim Brown (awarded this year)
DJ Reader
Rod Byers
BJ Goodson
Ammon Lakip (already gone, I know...)

Also, I would expect the following Juniors to leave early (9):

JJ McCullough (gone)
Zac Brooks (confirmed)
Shaq Lawson (confirmed)
Travis Blanks (confirmed)
Mac Alexander (guess - IMO should go)
Jayron Kearse (guess - IMO should stay but has a kid and great measurables)
Jordan Leggett (guess - IMO should stay but weak year for TEs)
TJ Burrell (graduates in May)
Martin Aiken (graduates in May)

For commits, we currently have 17 including Brian Dawkins, Jr and LaSamuel Davis who didn't qualify last year thus is not currently on scholarship.

85 scholarships - 11 Seniors - 9 Juniors + 17 commits = 82 (leaving room for 3 more commits*).

*This does not include any transfers out or any guys who graduate in May and move on (perhaps Nick Schuessler?). Also, there may be some other juniors who leave early (Kevin Dodd/Carlos Watkins).

TL;DR: I think we can easily take 3 or 4 more commits without having to worry. Plus, underclassmen need to declare by January 18 (I believe) so we'll know well ahead of signing day how many spots we have.

Good summary. Thanks. What about Kevin Dodd? Thought I read or heard somewhere we was at least submitting his paperwork to see where he stands now.
