both teams were portrayed by the media as the best there was. so good in fact, that they put them both in the national championship.

Fast forward to 2021, Clemson and UGA play a similar game 10-3. Clemson is portrayed as fledgling in the eyes of the media.

Honestly sometimes you Pollyannas are almost too much to stomach… those two teams had the rest of the season in a strong conference to impress… uh our schedule is weak and lord the ACC looks terrible this year… Wake up !
