2 or 3 Super conferences, 40 to start, then gains a max 64Total

Actually I think D1s (D1s = super conference) should be around 64 teams. Then D1g is the rest of D1 teams. The bottom of the D1s list could be changed every 2-4 years if the school plays horrible or if a D1g team excels and blows them out! Then top 16 play in the major bowls and start of playoffs are decided on division leaders and by overall ranking.

BIG and SEC with 20 teams each would be 40 I'm see

Shoot, hit send by accident, didn't finish points.

20 teams each conference would give room for Clemson, FSu, Miami and ND. Then the BIG could grab teams like PITT, Syracuse, VT, UNC. That gives 20ea, but i feel like a 64 team super conference is more realistic.

There are teams that do not need to be in the Super Conferences like WF, Duke, Vandy, BYU, Rutgers, etc. That said, Im not sure 64 is feasible and 40 to 48 teams is most realistic specifically reference to Football.

There is no way we keep college football as is, unless we fall into 2 groups: 1st is a pro league feeder for NFL and the second goes back to old school rules and NFL has a draft system for that group separate.

Then create 8 team playoff with top 16 playing in top bowls for annual placement but 8 teams in playoffs. This applies to super conference and then Group gets their big bowls and an 8 game playoff.

This would have to be some format close to this to make any strength of schedule sense and monetary equity among similar invested schools. The $50mil that Clemson invests annually in football vs the $14mil and $18mil that WF and Duke invests will never bring equality. They are happy to suck in our revenues but will never create the same return that Clemson, FSU or ND bring to the table.

I just hope it gets sorted long before the ACC and top teams get so far behind that they could never catch up monetarily.

Sorry for long post!
