1974 Tennessee game

Anybody remember the illegal play that Tennessee ran? I was overseas that year. I think Tennessee broke the huddle with 10 men and then a WR stepped on to the field just before the snap and ran down sideline uncovered.

Both plays were of course illegal.

Then we apparently made “improper inducements” to a couple of guys in 1980 who went to Tennessee. Got us on 3 years of probation. Two fro NCAA and an extra one courtesy of the ACC.

We owe The Vols a lot of payback.

Yep. Both 74 and 76 were major Robberies. In 74, Easley SC’s Stanley Morgan stood on the sideline as the Ball was Snapped and then ran back onto the Field for a Deep Pass. NCAA made a rule change because of that play!
