2 fumbles lost against a very mediocre FSU and Dabo puts this in his "Top 5" wins in his career? Questionable. Note to offensive "genius" Tony Elliott: This is what happens when you don't abandon the effing RUN like you did last week. You win. An ugly win but at this point, we'll take a W any way we can get one because its gotten bad.

But it's a W against one of two primary ACC teams we recruit against and every win remaining on our schedule falls into the "must win" category in particular the Wake and USuCk games.

Stats don't lie. This was an epically ugly game from a play calling standpoint, in particular the series before halftime. FSU definitely knew what plays were coming based upon our tendencies, formations, whatever. Too easy and the film won't lie. Dabo still can't/won't see that D coordinators have Elliott figured out.

Some bright spots on offense are improvements in the run game, O Line played better and receivers appear to be making some improvements in route running and catching----blocking is still an issue. WR screen should be deleted from the play book because we can't block. But a Top 5 win? Not seeing it.

Note to Streeter: DJ still staring down receivers and throwing into double coverage. Not seeing open receivers. A lot of double clutching, looks like a concrete deer in the pocket. Not trusting his eyes. Thought this was the game he "might" turn the corner because FSU has a lot of deficiencies on defense...nope. A lot of work to do before the Wake game.

Screw Calford.

Good post in that I agree with everything, and I mean everything you said except one statement; "This was an especially ugly game from a play calling standpoint". Every game we have played this year has been an ugly game, especially on the "offensive" side of the ball.

Dabo has been peeing on your back and calling it rain

All season. Why stop now? He has done great things for Clemson and Clemson football. And they won, but remember “I assure you we don’t stink on offense”?

He isn’t “humble” Dabo any longer. IYAM.

Nou sure your comparison to last week is valid. Pitt

Stats don’t lie ... unless you make them up

19 completions. 6.1 yards per attempt.

Yeah he averaged 9,6 per completion, which is poor. Travis averaged 12.5 which is ok. STenson Bennett averaged 16 for Georgia. Ridder for Cincy 13.3. Caleb Williams for the Sooners 17.4. Stroudt for Ohio State 16. Nailor for Mich State 10.3. Brown for Oregon 12.7. You get the point.
The list goes on. DJ's results are weak. I still think he can become a good QB in the right system though and with some more maturity.

Stats can be manipulated to say whatever you want. Like this one - Clemson is 1-1 in games TO has thrown a pass and 4-2 in games he hasn’t. Not at all bashing TP. I really like him. Just an example of how stats can be used to make any point.
