We actually outrushed FSU (believe it or not). Our defense started to breakdown FSU's offensive line on several 3rd quarter drives & rattle Winston, and how did our offense respond when they got their hands on the ball?

Move the ball well, and then throw 2 interceptions.

2 TO's is bad. 4 TO's is just ridiculous. And it showed.

3rd down conversions: 5 for 15

Anyone notice anything familiar? We were 4 for 17 against BC.

There's your difference right there.

The defense did some good things...in a game that everyone

expected to be a shootout, I felt the defense did exactly what it needed to do. I think FSU has one of the best run games in the country and they only had 121 yards on 38 carries (3.2 ypc). We also had one INT, and I thought it was pretty obvious in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, Winston was affected by the crowd noise and situation. There was a time in the game when he was rattled. If we could have executed on offense, and turned it into a close game, maybe Winston makes a few more mistakes.

Of course, it also doesn't help when our top player in the secondary is disqualified for targeting. Breeland will also be out for the 1st half against Maryland if I'm not mistaken...that is huge.
