Why is everyone in Trumpworld hiding from the committee?

Meadows, Bannon, Jordon, etc. are hiding from the committee instead of running over each other to prove Trump had nothing to do with the Insurrection. They have nothing to hide, right? Hillary had bigger balls than any of them as she had no problem testifying for the Benghazi hearings. Will Trump himself go before the committee if asked, or will he do everything he can to avoid having to answer any questions under oath?

Your analogy of the Benghazi hearings is like comparing a beach ball to a hammer. The Benghazi hearings were conducted by normal standing House committees that were represented by House members whose party leadership selected them to serve on those committees. In other words - "normal business". There were members questioning the witnesses who were both supporters and opponents of the Obama administration.
The J6 "committee" is a Pelosi cherry picked group of rank partisans that all have on thing in common - they hate Donald Trump and the former Trump administration. There is nothing normal about the way this committee was designed or staffed. The two Republicans on the committee are outspoken anti-Trump administration hacks that were not assigned to the committee by Republican leadership. Contrary to the Benghazi hearings, J6 is a Soviet style kangaroo court whose sole purpose is political - not legislative and certainly not honest. The committee was setup with the political targets already determined - Donald Trump and anyone who supports him.
Secondly your characterization of the J6 riot as an insurrection is utter nonsense. No one has been charged, much less convicted under 18 U.S. Code § 2383 (insurrection statute). The rioters have all been charged with illegal trespass, resisting and impeding officers, assaulting law enforcement officers, and obstructing an official proceeding of Congress. This whole J6 was an "insurrection" is a hyperbolic political narrative that is utter BS.

He avoided the questions in the OP and has moved the goal posts on how members are to be selected for investigative committees. Apparently Liz Cheney isn't qualified because even though she's a hard core conservative, she's actually interested in finding out the facts to what happened Jan 6th rather than being an obstruction to a legitimate investigation. Your response was a laughable deflection from the questions in the OP. Why is Trump doing everything in his power to not prove his innocence? Why is he blocking testimony and release of documents? It would benefit him immensely for him to "stick it to Pelosi" to prove he had nothing to do with the Insurrection. Hillary went into the Benghazi hearings like a boss and slapped Gowdy down like an abused woman. He's now out of politics. It's not Pelosi's fault that McCarthy refused to participate in this hearing. He, like you, doesnt want this investigation to even exist. Why is it you don't want Trump to have the opportunity to prove to American people that he had nothing to do with what happened before, during, and after the Insurrection? Why are you not interested in finding out why Trump watched police officers get beaten for 3 hours before he reluctantly called off his dogs?
