They need to replace Florida with Tennessee. Otherwise, it's a pretty good list.

Child abuse at Penn State should close the program down for a decade.

Washington, Kansas State, and Auburn have also been trending down lately.

Washington was really good under Don James in the '80s and '90s. Won a Natty. And KState was excellent under Bill Snyder in the '90s and early 2000s. Coach Venables played and coached there.

When was Kansas State ever good?***

Coot-police!

Not sure I'd include Boise...

They were more of a flash-in-the pan type program but never really achieved elite status or experienced any long term sustained success.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I'd replace PSU with Tennessee, or at least move them down

Dec 3, 2021, 8:28 AM

They have been as nearly as bad as the UT's (Texas, Tennessee), FSU, Nebraska - even with sanctions.

And in terms of their standing in the B1G, it has as much to do with OSU dominating as PSU not...in fact, didn't they win the B1G a few years ago - but got screwed (IMO) by the Playoff committee?

Can't believe I am defending Sandusky U, but Penn State has

not really fallen on extended hard times like most of the other schools on this list. They were kind of up and down even back in Joe Pa's later years. Even if you DO include them on the list, they are certainly not the 2nd best at being worse.
