Of course and it's still even possible that the original ME was correct ruling this a suicide, but doctors should be held to a higher standard than weathermen and politicians who are so often wrong.
Thankfully we don't have to be held to the same standard as airline pilots or air traffic controllers. Being right 99.9% of the time doesn't begin to cut it in their profession.
My brief review of this article and others on this suicide/homicide make me think the doctor probably got this wrong and was no intended slap on medical doctors as a whole and was just using an old joke.

It's not unheard of to have suicides where a person made it look like a murder for whatever crazy reason. Clearly with no sign of forced entry, that would seem to point to the fiance, but the lack of defensive wounds in a stabbing is a little odd.
But also, as they state later in the article, one wound happened after she was already dead, so there ya go.
It also makes me wonder about the police's involvement in the case.
Like, say, in this example in Mt. Pleasant in 2003 where police and SLED immediately ruled it a suicide since the fiance was a cop. In this case, the coroner got it right and overturned it. But it was too late to proceed with charges due to evidence tampering.
