Preseason I figured this season could go either of 3 ways: 1) DJ and the offense open the season like a Nick Saban team (i.e., in mid-season form) and blow out GA en route to another CFP year. Finish no worse than 12-2. 2) DJ and the offense suffer the same slow start as Dabo's teams normally do and lose a close game to UGa. Take some time to regroup but gradually build depth and chemistry for next year. Could be as bad as 10-3. 3) The Kyle Parker scenario. We lose a heartbreaking opener and then agonize over a toilet-circling season at 6-6 before losing to a hungry AAC team in Shreveport (or wherever) all while watching the team that barely beat us in the opener find more and more confidence each week before ending up in the NC.
At this point, I'm still hoping for scenario #2, though the game vs UConn looked more like a scenario #3 component.
I'd love to see Billy Wylds or Hunter Helms get a few snaps with the first team sometime soon, but I don't want DJU to be hurt or have thrown a stupid pick-6 beforehand.

There is no way in hell you thought #3 was a possibility. Literally no one did. The worst case scenario for most experts was 12-2. No reason to lie.

9-3...Dabo and his assistants will have a great game plan ready for Wake Forest(Senior Day as the Tiger Seniors go out winners at home and finish 6-0 at home)and South Carolina(State Champions for a 7th straight time) and the team will execute it the way they have game planned it

8-4. I think 9-3 is more likely than 7-5 though. The coots really aren't good - Florida just made them look decent for a brief moment in time before everyone realized how bad Florida is right now.

I'm gonna go 8-4 as most likely, but I think either of the others are a possibility, especially since the Palmetto Bowl is going to be a boring 10-7 type of game, since both have good defenses and bottom 10 offenses.

Lose to Wake, beat SC. Clemson cannot win a high-scoring game against Wake. To win, Clemson will need to run the ball effectively, control the clock, keep Wake's offense off the field, and get a couple of big plays on defense or from STs.

IMO Clemson rises up against WF to continue the win streak at home into next season. It'll probably be another ugly game (30-27ish game) but the seniors go out on top.
Since we're going to Cootlumbia and it's rivalry weekend, it may be closer than we like, but rent is due come November 27th.
Clemson 27 - USuC 20
Then anything extra will be gravy on the year (ACC Championship, NY6 Bowl) but ultimately hoping for a good bowl game against someone other than Auburn ??
