internal hires

sure would be nice to be on the receiving end of a huge hire

ie take someone else’s muffin vs being btm b…alas

right now it seems like we are just developing players and coaches for transition to other programs

1. You’re completely wrong about Morris and Venables not being “big” hires. They were both hot prospects when Dabo hired them.

2. Even if they weren’t “big names”, (which they were) it doesn’t matter because they proved to be home run additions. Would you rather have a big name come in and fail or a solid candidate exceed all expectations?

3. You think we’re just developing coaches for other programs? Lol. BV was here for 9 years. That’s almost unheard of in College football. Alabama seems to lose their coordinators every other year. I guess they’re just developing for other programs too. Lol

Neither was an out of the blue hire. Both were home runs and viewed as such at the time.

Stoops had even brought in his brother as Co-Defensive coordinator with Brent out there, the ultimate slap that led him here.
