I’m not. At this time, Trotter has better and quicker feet and he can get to the 2nd level.

TCI said Dabo reported capehart had scope and it came back clean but won't practice for a while. That's good to see and hear because I know ppl were asking about him last week.
Interesting EJ in the slot. I mentioned that back in February and got blasted. Kinda sad to hear we're still talking about players in covid protocol.

I mean, seriously, what does this coaching staff have to do to gain the approval of random fans? Their W-L records over the past few years is phenomenal and one of the very best in the country with 2 national titles, yet they still get criticized by faceless fans.

Doesn't mean they're always right. This is literally one of the most common logical fallacies. An appeal to authority. Yeah, they've won a lot of games. They're also 1-3 in their last four top ten matchups and the coaches' kids have been terrible in those games.

Let the second guessing begin.
So in college and pro football there is a dance that is played every spring and summer practice period.
Most returning starters are typically ensured their positions on the pre-season depth chart up to Games 1-3. Coaches then replace departed starters from a pool of returning backups and out-of-high school players.
In cases where the skill sets and performance of position competitors is equal, the tie typically and often rightfully goes to the veteran for team morale reasons. In cases where the freshman is clearly the top player (e.g. Bresee, Dexter Lawrence or TL16), this freshman will start though it may take a few games for the players to “learn the playbook” or for the coaches to let the competition play out to “ensure team morale.” Same thing every season. Nothing new in 2021.
Something to look for in 2021 is the influx of talent at OL, CB, S, WR and LB. Some of these new Clemson players will win positions early in the season. Which players will it be? Will it be before or after the UGA game? No doubt Kirby Smart and UGA face the same situation. Are there any DW4’s or Herschel Walker’s out there that could be freshman game-changers in Game 1?
