What is happening out in Colorado? Sitting here in my New York City office, I have in the last few weeks received an unusual uptick in queries about a relatively new Colorado employment law, the
two people with 5 years experience at the same job could have a big disparity in salary. One could have been busting their butt and actually care about their work and job, and the other could just be doing the minimum and clocking at 8 and leaving at 5 no matter what was going on.
If that was the case for me... the difference would probably be about $85k vs $70k. Bonuses would also be skewed to the one that did more.
Amen to that! Even when it wasn’t, if you had any respect for yourself you wouldn’t spend the time to interview twice without making sure the numbers make sense. Even if you feel weird about money you could ask to check to make sure it makes sense fiscally to make that move.
