All the time this year. I actually don’t remember us running the rub even once this year. They’re hoping Saban runs it on us to see how the refs will call it.

And drawn PI forcing Dabo to decide between a game ending play of FG. I think they’re right - but still think we would have won. Their D was completely gassed.

That's what they were trying to do. Hoping we would run out of time and have to kick a fg. That's why it was brilliant play calling. They couldn't get to renfrow to tackle him before he had the ball. Scott's pick wasn't illegal because the defender tackled him.

The secret is to get the 'GREATEST COACH OF ALL TIME' to coach his Dbacks to tackle our receivers...Go back and watch Saban during the timeout to review the Leggett catch. You'll see him instruct his players to 'pull down our receivers. And they listened too... The endzone pass to Williams got the PI b/c he was pulled down. Then the Dback pulled down Scott on the final play to try to force us to kick the field goal to tie. But the master got out-coached b/c our coach called a play where their dback could not get his hands on the open receiver.
Look for yourself....and tell all your Tide friends (and Tide wannabees...coots)...

We ran it against USuck except Renfrow had to turn back in for catch. He stated this himself in an interview. We still scored well bc they suck!

Didn’t we run it against USuCk? The play Renfrow scored close to the student section when Dabo went ballistic. But Renfrow had to go back to the middle while Bryant scrambled.

They've been doing that play in games all this season.... Saw it during the Texas A&M game, ran not at the goal line, and Hurts missed his receiver. There's footage of them practicing it preseason.

Everyone runs varieties of a rub or pick route all the time

TE drags with a short WR cross in front of the LB's is a rub. Post corners with a spit end post are rubs. RB wheel routes are usually a rub with the the WR. Its a standard strategy on routes. As long a the player is finishing his route and not flagrantly impeding the DB, it's perfectly legal.

We have run the same play this year. The td Hunter caught against usc in the second quarter was orange crush.
