Bama and LSU are supposed to be top five teams according to everyone on ESPiN yet with the understand of how sucky their counterparts in the west are this season there is nothing by which to gauge them.

IMO, Bama and LSU are not much better than the rest of the SEC.

I'm not arguing with the supposition about the SECe. I just want to point out that almost every conference has loaded their schedules with the easy conference games up front. They've left the head to heads between the better teams in the second half of the season.

Clemson has one of the few teams with what appears to be an unscripted schedule. Actually, ND and FSU balance the two halves of our schedule and it appears that we might have completed the tougher part already.

That's just looking at the averages and considering what other conferences seems to have done.

I disagree. After 8 weeks of a season, we all should have a pretty good idea. By this time, all non conference games have been played (minus rivalry games) and most teams are a few games into their conference schedule. Yea 8 weeks is enough to evaluate that particular metric.
