Use GA voting law to flip recruits?

Apr 4, 2021, 8:44 AM

I would be in the ear of some recruits we lost to UGA and tell them they should take a stand and de-commit from UGA pledging instead to Clemson. Never let a god crisis go to waste.

In the cutthroat world of recruiting, you would be naive to

think that this has not ALREADY been brought up by some coaches, somewhere. Anything to gain an edge.

Remember the Chik-Fil-A!

I couldn’t agree more!!

Apr 4, 2021, 9:01 AM

Coaches should definitely use this tactic against UGA commits and potential recruits.

Problem is there is nothing wrong with the law. Voter ID or some other form of personal verification should be required in every state to vote. To not want it, implies that you are trying to hide something.

Facts about the law. Switches up early voting times from at a minimum of 9-5 or the longest is 7am to 7pm. No change to voting day. Requires photo ID. Does not allow food and drink to be handed out in line. This was being done by political parties to coerce a vote. Note there are states with more stringent laws now.

So to try to use this to coerce recruits that they should not attend Georgia schools is assuming that they and they families are uninformed and lean in the direction of the boy otters which may not be true. Bottom line keep politics out of the game and recruiting.

MAin problem wasn’t mentioned- removing drop boxes from minority or poor neighborhoods, which are the ones who need them the most.

And a drop box is ok when voting why? The best prevention of fraud is to vote in person unless there is a legitimate reason that you cannot do so. Last time I checked I had to drive a mile to vote here in Minnesota. I do not seem to recall a drop box anywhere.

The UGA bagman is too strong ($$$) for this tangent to sway a recruit

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

SC voting laws are already more restrictive

Apr 4, 2021, 10:44 AM

Than GA’s new law. This is purely about the changes in their law - not the actual law

The changes are designed to suppress the vote...

BULLSHYYT

Apr 4, 2021, 11:51 AM

Always the excuse used by the cheating side. As a Living Breathing Citizen it's my constitutional right not to have my vote suppressed by cheating. There's only one reason one side is scared.

Re: BULLSHYYT

The funny thing is, there is only one party that has outwardly, publicly, and historically used voting suppression tactics as a strategy. There is literally a political group out there that is actively trying to suppress votes (which you're clearly against) - and it's not just liberal rhetoric, it is straight from the mouths of conservative political leaders. For everyone saying "wake up", well, practice what you preach.

In many cases, the fact they chose Georgia reflects poorly on the player.

I’m sure there are some exceptions.

Anyone that would think it was somehow ILLEGAL to request ID

Apr 4, 2021, 11:23 AM

to is someone not worth the time. Heck, try calling Braves Stadium and purchase tickets, you'll have to show ID at Will Call window to get your tickets. ID is required for everything in this country except voting. Wonder why ? LOL Down here in the Country they require D at the trash dump LOL

Because this country is being taken by the American Communist Party (formerly democrats), and if WE, American Patriots don't stand up and stick together to retake the US House of Representatives and the US Senate in 2022, our nation, as we know it, is gone! Gone Forever. This is not an assumption, it's a positive FACT. Please tell everyone to stick together and defeat these criminals in Washington!

In order to realize just how invested the left is in voter fraud, you only have to see how they react to any attempt to curtail it. Them pretending Georgia has passed some kind of draconian racist set of laws for voting that are nothing like any other state in the union is an example of them worrying that their past tricks won't work in the future. Even our brain dead demented POTUS is repeating the lefts lies as though they were facts.

Re: Use GA voting law to flip recruits?

From what I have heard, the new Georgia law is similar to the Delaware law, Pres. Biden's home state.

Isn't it a bit ironic that we have to show a valid ticket and have our carry on bag searched just to go to a Clemson football game but many people want less restrictions for an act that affects all of us in our everyday life. One fraud vote is one too many. No one should be denied the vote if they are duly qualified.

I’m just glad most explained how they felt about the law rather than discussing recruiting ramifications. In summary on the topic, some have said it’s being used already and others felt Dabo would not play that card. I’ll now close this thread now.
