Seems like they have their priorities straight. I'd much rather have a strong football conference than basketball conference. As much as people on here bag on the SEC, we'd take Slive over Swofford in a heartbeat.

Id take anyone over Swoff, but I definitely want our conference to be good in the big 2 (football and basketball). The SEC was hot garbage this year. They have fallen off the map in bball and that does effect your tv contract. Every little bit helps us. Lets dominate basketball next year and perform at a higher level on the football field and we will be fine

The only teams in the SEC who are any good. They won those titles despite playing a cupcake conference schedule. So no the SEC has never won a national title. Teams win national titles, not conferences. Pathetic attempt by a coot to live through teams that own them.

Not a coot dumb$$$, just stating facts. The subject was about conferences. My point was winning 3 natty's in 7 years for a football conference wasnt bad.

florida just has a dang good all-around sports program, and although they are struggling mightily out of the gate in baseball, they will make some noise before the post-season starts.

Let me know when they allow conference's to put all star teams together to play for national titles, then you can claim a conference won a national title. Until then coot, quit living through teams that own you.

SEC bad in basketball, no doubt. How many did ACC get in?? 4? Not much better this year but from now on with new additions ACC will be hard to handle in basketball.
