Mackensie Alexander returned home to Collier County in Florida to give back last week.
Alexander grew up in a Habitat for Humanity house in Immokalee and the fourth-year pro was able to help his parents by paying off the remainder of their mortgage. Alexander hopes to be an example for those growing up in the southwest Florida area. “I’m here today for the young guys. To show them why I do this,” Alexander said in a Habitat video. “I came from Immokalee - I lived in a Habitat home. I want to be an inspiration for (kids) to dream of what they can be.” Alexander is in the final year of his contract with the Minnesota Vikings after a second-round selection. He totaled 36 solo stops with 10 passes defended last season. He earned All-ACC and All-American honors as a redshirt sophomore with the Tigers. Watch more from Alexander's return home below:
