Report: Former Clemson RB considering Miami, SMU

Former Clemson running back Tyshon Dye announced that he was going to transfer two weeks ago. Dye was passed on the running back depth chart this past season by C.J. Fuller and Tavien Feaster and wants a chance for playing time to showcase his skills.

According to Canesport, Miami offensive coordinator and running backs coach Thomas Brown contacted Dye and told him he had a spot with the Hurricanes if he would like to join the team. Dye told the website that he plans to speak with Mark Richt on Sunday and that ten schools have already offered him a scholarship including SMU.

Dye had 21 attempts for 109 yards and a touchdown this past season. In 2015, he had 91 rushing yards including 52 against Miami and two touchdowns over six games. For his career, he has 76 rushes for 351 yards and five touchdowns.

In high school, he was rated as the No. 123 player in the nation, No. 18 running back in the nation and No. 12 player in Georgia by ESPN.
