Report: Former Clemson DB to sign with Seahawks

by - Assoc. Editor -

A member of Seattle's Legion of Boom (2013-14) is back.

Former Dolphins cornerback Byron Maxwell will sign a one-year contract (pro-rated) with the Seattle Seahawks after working out for them according to multiple reports including ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Maxwell's former teammate Richard Sherman is out with a ruptured Achilles since last Thursday night so Maxwell will be needed to help bolster the secondary. This could be great news for Maxwell as he tries to get back to the high level he once played at with Seattle in 17 starts from 2013 to 2014.

The former Clemson defensive back was released by the Dolphins on October 24.
