Tight end was need for Clemson in this class, and Palmer may need to play in 2006.

"The coaches told me I could really have a shot at playing this season. I just have to be strong enough. They told me to come ready to play."

Palmer says he spent a lot of time with fellow commitment Michael Wade.

"I was able to hang out with Michael Wade a lot, he's the quarterback that is coming in. We got along pretty well, and I think we are going to be roommates."

Will Palmer take anymore official visits?

"I am done with visits, this was my only one."
