ESPN: NR

Antonio Clay is the impact type linebacker the Tigers have missed on the last couple of years. Clay took his second official visit this past weekend to Clemson.

"It went pretty good. Coach Blackwell really showed me how I would fit into the scheme. He showed me the ways that I could come in and make an immediate impact. It really gave me a lot to think about. I liked Clemson. I feel at home there. All the fans were telling me to come to Clemson, and I'll start. The fans at Clemson were great."

Leroy Hill was Clay's player host.

"Leroy is the man. I had a great time with Leroy. He gave me some tips on what to do if I came to Clemson. I asked a lot of questions about the program, and he was very helpful. His opinions were very fair and honest."

Clay had said last week before the game that he wanted to see a Tiger win.

"I didn't say by how much. I knew it was going to be a close game. They got the win, and you have to be happy with that. Can't be disappointed with a win over Maryland. Maryland is a good team."

Miami will be the next stop for Clay on his official visits. His first official visit was to Oklahoma.

"Miami is the only other official visit that I have set up right now. I will be there on November 6 when they play Clemson. Hopefully, I will get back up to Clemson for the game against South Carolina."

Clay had another stellar perfromance last Friday night.

"I had 13 tackles and a forced fumble, but I am really mad at myself. I had an interception for a touchdown that I dropped. That is not going to happen again."
