DaQuann Ross is still awaiting his first offer, but he is receiving considerable interest from schools in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Ross is big and agile defensive tackle prospect. Ross was a sophomore in high school last year, but he will have to finish high school this year.
"I am going to be 19, so this will be my last year at East Wake. It is basically a situation where I am going to have to go to prep school for a year. The schools recruiting me understand that." Does Ross believe he would hold an offer already, if the situation was different? "I think I would have my first offer by now, if I could enroll after this coming year, but this is the hand I have been dealt. I am encouraged by the schools showing interest in me right now." Which schools are showing interest? "North Carolina, NC State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Florida State, Penn State, and Arizona are all showing interest. North Carolina is the closest to offering." Billy Napier is the recruiter of record with Ross.
