Barquell Rivers - Linebacker
Height: 6-0   Weight: 210   Hometown: Wadesboro, NC (Anson HS)   Class: 2007
ESPN: NR

Barquell Rivers had a huge junior season, which allowed him to pick up several offers. Rivers had 156 tackles in his junior season. Several ACC schools and others have set their sights on Rivers.

"NC State, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia, Louisville, and South Carolina have offered."

Rivers is still waiting on an offer from one school in particular.

"I am hoping Penn State offers. I have not heard a lot from them, and I am not sure, if they are close to offering or not. My coaches are going to try and get me up there for an unofficial visit this summer."

After the Nittany Lions, Rivers does not have a particular pecking order.

"After Penn State, everyone else is even. I like some of the schools in the ACC, but no one stands out."

The Anson High School product understands his teammate, Trinton Sturdivant, made an early decision, but he says he feels no pressure.

"Trinton had a better idea of what he wanted all along. It was pretty much always Georgia with him. With me, I wanted to look more at my options and see more schools. I knew Trinton would make his decision before I was ready. I am not sure when I will be ready to make a decision."
