TS: Talk about your commitment process

Coach Swinney gave me a call during May evaluation. He said they were pretty close to offering me. All he needed to do was see my Jamboree film. They got my film and I called back a week later after my Jamboree. Coach Scott was so impressed with my film they offered me right there on the spot. We stayed in touch over the course of the summer. We planned for me to come up on an unofficial visit. When I did I just loved it up there. The atmosphere was great. It’s a college town. (I love) the Field and the academic support they give the players. After discussing it with my parents I gave Coach Swinney a call last night (Thursday) about 1:00 AM. He discussed the terms and everything. I just decided that was the best place for me.

TS: What was it like going into the stadium for the first time?

When I walked into the stadium I just imagined 83,000 people in orange and white screaming, I got butterflies. I’d be very excited to play there. I can’t even imagine coming down the hill.

TS: We heard you had a great Florida camp.

At Florida’s camp they got my height at 6 foot 4 ½. I weighed in at 287. I ran the third best overall 40 yard dash time in the entire camp including wide receivers, defensive backs, and running backs. I ran a 4.95 40 yard dash on grass. I had a 32 ½ inch vertical. I was rated…as the best and most athletic offensive lineman in attendance.

TS: What schools had offered you?

The schools that had offered me so far were LSU, Kansas State, USC, South Florida, Central Florida, Louisville, I think Tennessee, NC State, North Carolina, and there were some small schools.
