During the summer, Carlos Thomas and Ray Ray McElrathbey stated that they would like to play at the next level together. Thomas, currently a Georgia Tech commitment, gave us his feelings on McElrathbey's commitment.
"I talked to him just the other day. He didn't really pressure me or anything. We know how each other feels. His commitment does make Clemson more appealing. I will take my official visit to Clemson on January 14." Thomas has hosted several teams since coaches have been able to go in the home. He expects more to come soon. "LSU, Ole Miss, Ohio St, and Georgia Tech all came by last week. They all went pretty good. No one really stood out over the others. Coach Burns is supposed to come by sometime. I am not sure when anyone is coming this week." What would it take for Thomas to de-commit from Georgia Tech? "Playing time and environment." Thomas has already received his qualifying test score with an 870 on the SAT. Tiger Source will continue to follow Thomas closely through signing day.
