Antonio Wardlow - Defensive Back
Height: 6-1   Weight: 185   Hometown: Winston-Salem, NC (Parkland HS)   Class: 2005
ESPN: NR

The Clemson program saw perhaps its biggest improvement last season with its safeties. Travis Pugh had a fantastic junior season and we think Jamaal Fudge may have had the best year for any Tiger defender a year ago. Remember it was Fudge's first year at rover.

With the safety position being so important today, Antonio Wardlow has popped up on several ACC radars.

He has offers from Clemson, Virginia, Maryland, UNC, NC State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, South Carolina, and West Virginia. "I am wide open currently, but hopefully by the end of month, early next I will have my top five. It changes all of the time."

Wardlaw has had a busy summer while trying to stay in the weight room, while working at his summer job. He was able to attend camps at Wake Forest and North Carolina. "The camps went great, I enjoyed both places."

He is looking forward to the upcoming season, while hoping to make a run a state. "Hopefully we will make it to state, and I want to be selected to the Shrine Bowl. I am going to go out there and play my best, hopefully good things will happen for me."

Wardlow expects he will be an early commitment, but will look very closely at a couple of factors. "Academics is first, then I want to see how I fit in with the players and coaches on the team, after that I will make my choice."

Theilen Smith is recruiting Wardlaw for the Tigers.

This is a prospect that is pretty quiet about his college choices but the Tigers have better shots at some of the in-state safeties in the upcoming class.
