RB Marlin Lane of Daytona Beach, FL took an official visit to Auburn over the weekend and said following the visit that he is not sure if he will sign with Clemson or with Auburn. Clemson has two experienced running backs returning next season in Jamie Harper and Andre Ellington, and had two that redshirted this season. Add in Mike Bellamy, and there is a logjam, and Lane said that the way to playing time appears more open at Auburn. He is scheduled for his official visit to Clemson January 14th and after that he said he would list the pros and cons of both schools and make a decision around February 2nd or 3rd.
