2021 3-star AC Flora (SC) tight end Banks Pope committed to Clemson on a preferred walk-on offer, per multiple reports.

Pope had been committed to Appalachian State for a full scholarship previously.

“Growing up, I have been a Clemson fan, and it has been dream of mine since I was a little kid to go and play football at Clemson,” Pope told The State. “It is a dream come true. It was the only place that could flip my mind from Appalachian State. Clemson called me. I just couldn’t turn that down.”

He also reported offers from Akron, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Liberty and Western Kentucky among FBS programs.
