Markee Hamlin - Defensive Back
Height: 6-2   Weight: 170   Hometown: Lamar, SC (Lamar HS)   Class: 2005
ESPN: NR

On signing day of 2004 Michael Hamlin announced that he signed with Clemson over South Carolina and Duke. The announcement ended a long and hectic recruiting battle between the two in-state rivals Clemson and USC. This year Lamar High School and the Hamlin family might have to prepare for the sequel.

Michael's younger brother Markee is a talented defensive back prospect that will try garner the attention and offers of his older brother. Markee has the same build and Michael and is also excels in the classroom like Michael.

"I talk to Michael all of the time about recruiting and football," says Markee. "I watched him being recruiting and learned about the process. He wants me to come to Clemson and be a Tiger like him."

Hamlin says he has already started to receive the in-state attention. "Clemson and South Carolina called in May. Coach Swinney is recruiting me for Clemson. I plan to go there a lot this year to see my brother."

Hamlin told us he has no offers at this early stage. Last season he had 70 tackles and four interceptions.

Like his older brother, Markee will try to get stronger and bigger as a senior. He will be one of about five or six South Carolina safeties that we will follow closely in this recruiting campaign.
