Fairfield Central's Darius Gaither is by most accounts the fastest prospect in South Carolina this year. There is some dispute over exactly how fast Gaither really is.

"My coach tells everyone that I am consistently sub 4.4, but my best time is 4.27. Hopefully when camps roll around this year, I will be able to prove my forty time."

Either way, every coach knows that Gaither is very fast and has the potential to be a star corner at the next level. Three schools have already offered Gaither.

"Clemson, South Carolina, and NC State have already offered. I have already made a trip to NC State. They did a good job of showing me around and making me feel welcomed. I am going to look at Clemson and South Carolina, but right now I am going to look at some out of state schools. I just want to make sure that I make the right decision for me when the time comes."

Gaither expects to make several stops at camps this year. He will make stops at Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, and NC State.
