4-star 2019 defensive tackle Jacob Lacey from Bowling Green (KY) has comitted to Notre Dame on Saturday according to his Twitter account.

"First I give GOD all the glory for everything," Lacey posted. "I wanna thank my family and my coaches! Country. Notre Dame. GO IRISH!!"

He had made five trips to Notre Dame since last June and it's the second 2019 commitment for the Irish.

Lacey has early national offers from Cincinnati, Clemson, Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Purdue, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

The 6-2, 295-pound Bowling Green (KY) South Warren prospect received an offer after his second day of workouts at the 2017 Dabo Swinney Football camp.

Lacey started as a freshman and helped his team win a Class 4A state championship while going 15-0. In 2016, he was named second team All-State and second team All-USA Kentucky honors after his team finished 9-5.

He has also earned a 4.0 GPA and received academic all-state honors during his first two years of high school.
