Clemson DL target Gabe Wright went for an official visit to Tuscaloosa over the weekend. Wright and his family had a good time at Alabama and even had a chance to have breakfast at Nick Saban’s house.
“I’ve always had a likeness for Alabama, and they know that,” Wright told the Tuscaloosa News. “All I can do is sit back, enjoy these visits and look for any negatives if there are any. I see some positives and not many negatives at Alabama, to be honest.” He also commented on the recent addition of former Clemson coach, Chris Rumph. “I never had a high compatibility with former coach Bo Davis, and that did kind of hurt Alabama a little bit, “ Wright told the Tuscaloosa news. “Now with Coach Rumph coaching the defensive line, it is definitely a plus for Alabama." He still plans to visit Tennessee on Jan 14th, Clemson on January 21st, and Auburn on January 28th. Wright and his teammate nationally ranked running back Isaiah Crowell are not considered a package deal, but Wright did say there was a big desire to play with Crowell. Both Wright and Crowell plan to announce on signing day on Feb 2nd at their school.
