One of the most coveted linebacker prospects in the country hails from Naples High School in Florida. Spencer Adkins is drawing interest from almost every national power and rightfully so.

"I have received offers from everybody," says Adkins. "My top five is Miami, Florida, FSU, Georgia, and LSU. But I will not make my decision until signing day."

Adkins says there is not one major factor that will sway his decision, just that he wants to go where he feels comfortable. However, most coaches feel Miami will be the team to beat.

Having already established himself as one of the nations top players, he has set his sights on a state title. "We won it two years ago, but it means a lot to me to close out my high school career with a state title. It has been my team for a couple of years now, so I am use to being leader of the team."

He currently owns the school record for tackles for loss, and says he will get the sacks record this season.

Adkins has not visited any school yet, but has made plans for one trip. "I will be in attendance for the big Monday night game between FSU and Miami."

"I am staying in the weight room preparing for a big season. I know a lot of eyes will be on me this season."

"I have a little interest in Clemson. I know a couple of guys there." Two years ago Clemson signed running back Duane Coleman from Naples. It obvious Clemson has some grown to make up with Adkins and the Florida powers will be tough to beat.
