is excited to announce that he will be hosting his 2nd Annual Michael Hamlin Football Camp in his hometown of Lamar, South Carolina. The camp, which will be 100% free to all participants, will take place at Lamar High School on June 20, 2015 from 10:00AM – 2:00PM EST. Children from 6 to 18 years of age will have the opportunity to learn from the former NFL defensive back and current coach of the Buffalo Bills through a series of football drills and team building activities.

Michael Hamlin, who attended Lamar High School and in state college, Clemson University, hopes to enhance the lives of young boys and girls in the Lamar and surrounding communities through the lessons of team sports. “I decided to do a camp in Lamar, SC because that's where it all started for me. The town of Lamar and surrounding areas have been great to me and my family so I just would like to show my appreciation by giving back and putting on a youth football camp. Football has taught me many types of life lessons and I've met a variety of people who have impacted my life in so many ways so it's only right I give back to our future stars hoping to impact some of their lives as well.”

Although Hamlin had left South Carolina to pursue his NFL dream, he ended up going back to Clemson to pursue his coaching career and Masters Degree. Now that his coaching career is taking off, Hamlin wants to start getting back involved and get more active in his hometown and the surrounding communities through his foundation, Michael Hamlin Foundation. This camp is just one of many things to come from Michael and his foundation.

Individuals interested in attending camp may register by going to Eventbrite.com and search Michael Hamlin Football Registration. Interested sponsors for the camp are encouraged to contact Anthony Anderson at aanderson@championse.com.
