Since then, Hall has signed a three-year contract on July 23 as an undrafted free agent with the St. Louis Rams. “I couldn’t understand it, to be honest. But my faith was what got me through it. Along with my support system back home, they were the ones that stuck beside me when basically the whole world said it was over, that my time was done.” Another St. Augustine star did get drafted when the Miami Dolphins took Florida kicker Caleb Sturgis in the fifth round. He was the first player in St. Augustine High history to get picked — but why not Hall as well? “I can’t lie, (not getting drafted) was a little disappointing,” he said. “I wanted that and thought I earned that with my work in college. I wanted it for the impact it would have on my community to have somebody get drafted. Maybe I was looking at it with the wrong perspective.”
