Clemson updates depth chart out after opener

by -

Clemson updated its depth chart after the opener versus Georgia.

The two-deep reflects how snaps shook out in Charlotte with freshman Marcus Tate moving into the starting spot at left guard and Matt Bockhorst at center, with Hunter Rayburn and Trent Howard backing him up.

EJ Williams is out due to a thumb injury, putting freshman Beaux Collins in as a backup to Justyn Ross in the slot and freshman Dacari Collins as the backup to Frank Ladson at an outside receiver spot.

The secondary features the biggest changes defensively with freshman Andrew Mukuba, who totaled eight tackles and a pass breakup Saturday, starting over junior Lannden Zanders, and Andrew Booth and Mario Goodrich as the sole starters in the cornerback slots.
