Clemson football by the numbers at midseason

by -

A less-than-convincing effort off of the bye week at Syracuse meant little improvement if any among the national stats.

The lone solely offensive stat in the top-25 comes with tackles for loss allowed (15th; 3.5 per game), where the Tigers did go into the weekend ranked 13th-best in not having runs stuffed at or behind the line of scrimmage.

Clemson's defense hasn't allowed more than 14 points in regulation this season and that shows with a No. 2 rank in scoring defense, as well as a top-5 red zone group (No. 5 overall and No. 2 in red zone TD percentage).

On the low end, Clemson has triple-digit rankings offensively in: completion percentage - 104 (.560), passing offense - 107 (180.3), scoring offense - 113 (20.5), total offense - T-116 (324), passing efficiency - 118 (108.06), passing yards per completion - 124 (10.1) and fourth down offense - 126 (.200).
