Clemson commit named among top RBs

by - Staff Writer -

Clemson four-star 2019 commit Chez Mellusi was ranked the No. 11 running back in the nation by USA TODAY Sports this week.

That's the second-highest rating yet for the Naples (Fla.) prospect, who also holds a No. 6 rating by ESPN.

"The future Tiger can catch and has good vision and speed," USA TODAY writes.

Mellusi committed to Clemson not long after a campus stop during spring practice, picking the Tigers over interest from Notre Dame and Miami. He averaged 8.9 yards per carry, totaling 1,505 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns last season.

Clemson is also in the mix for USA TODAY's No. 1 RB and also LB prospect in Quavaris Crouch, as well as No. 5 and IMG Academy prospect Noah Cain.
