Tuesday night and will visit Clemson this weekend.

As a result, the Tigers have a realistic shot to land the 2013 prospect that ESPN says is the best quarterback coming out of the state of Florida in this recruiting cycle.

Woulard spoke with TigerNet Wednesday evening about his busy week.

“I am excited about coming up this weekend and seeing the campus,” Woulard said. “Last night, I had an in-home visit with Coach Morris and Coach Scott, and that went really well. I love what they have to offer, and I am excited to get up there and see the campus in person.”

The winner of the Elite 11 MVP this past July said the coaches talked about the success Clemson’s offense has had over the past two seasons.

“They pretty much just let me know the success they have had under Coach Morris,” he said. “They talked about how Coach Morris has helped Tajh Boyd improve dramatically, and now that Tajh has one more year and then I would have a shot to compete for the starting job.”

Woulard said he has paid close attention to Clemson’s offense.

“Their offense is really explosive, and I know they led the country in the most plays that gained 25 or more yards,” he said. “They are fast-paced, and they have athletes all over the place. They like to get vertical and go downfield and not just get five yards at a time. They like to take big chunks and move the ball down the field.”

He said he wasn’t surprised to receive such a late offer from the Tigers.

“I wasn’t really surprised, even though I knew they weren’t really looking to take a quarterback in this class,” he said. “But they kept in contact with me in case something happened, and when one of their quarterbacks transferred out I wasn’t really surprised.”

Woulard said he will arrive in Clemson Friday and stay until Sunday, and when he was asked if the Tigers are under serious consideration, he said yes.

“I am not sure when I will make my decision, but Clemson definitely has a shot.”
