last Wednesday.

Falcinelli visited Stanford in late June, but after the visit to the West Coast, he decided that his college home should be in Clemson.

“I committed Wednesday. I was waiting because I went out to Stanford and I saw that campus, but I didn’t really like it as much as I thought I would,” Falcinelli told TigerNet Monday afternoon. “I came back and my family and I decided that we really like Clemson a lot. I’ve always liked Clemson a lot. Their coaches are fantastic and I love everything they stand for. They have a great team. I really enjoyed being around all of their players. They are great guys. I just thought that it was the place for me.”

The 6-4, 300-pound prospect said that the relationships he built with red-shirt freshmen offensive linemen Patrick DeStefano and Jay Guillermo at Swinney’s high school camp in June helped cement his decision.

“It definitely helped me make up my mind because that’s one thing that I was waiting on- getting to meet the players and see how the team was,” Falcinelli said. “I just wanted to meet everyone. Patrick and Jay are great guys and I just loved hanging out with them.”

Falcinelli is looking forward to improving his fundamentals on the collegiate level with the help of Clemson offensive line coach Robbie CaldwellRobbie Caldwell

“I think he is a great offensive line coach, and if he sees that you are doing something wrong he will definitely correct you,” he said. “I think he can definitely help me become a better player.”

The 2012 Maryland Consensus All-State offensive lineman said that he is a tough-nosed run blocker who isn’t afraid of a little hard work.

“I like to think that I’m a hard run blocker and tough,” he said. “My coaches have done a great job and have given me a good work ethic, toughening me up and just helping me become a strong, tough player.”

Falcinelli had offers from Boston College, Marshall, Maryland, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers, Virginia and West Virginia.
