Ranked as the 22nd-best player in the state by Max Emfinger in his January 15th issue...a three-year starter along with his brother Andy for Tom Lewis at Sumter High School...played in three state championship games...played in the 1992 Shrine Bowl...named to the Greenville News all-state squad...also an all-area and all-region performer...a member of the the WBTW (Florence, SC) all-star team...had 75 tackles in 1992, 59 were solo stops...also returned punts for Sumter, he had 15 returns for 132 yards...also had four receptions as a wide receiver for a gain of 88 yards and two touchdowns.
