Swinney updates injuries on his team |
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney spoke to the media during his weekly press conference on Tuesday and shared an injury update on some of his defensive players.
Marcus Edmond and Mark Fields are two key defensive backs that Clemson would love to have back on the field. "Mark (Fields) did not practice last night," Swinney said. "We wanted to put him through what we call our yellow protocol to kind of assess him a little bit more to see where he is at." Swinney said that Edmond is still not ready to play at a high level with his foot injury. "Marcus (Edmond) has been practicing," Swinney said. "He just hasn't been game ready. He has been practicing, but just not quite confident enough to go play at the level he wants to play at and we need him to play at. Hopefully, we will keep progressing through the week. We just had one day of practice. We got a long way to go." Swinney shared that freshman defensive back A.J Terrell is "good" concerning his injury.
