5-star 2018 offensive tackle Cade Mays announced Thursday night his top three schools which included Clemson, Georgia, and Ohio State.

Mays will take a visit to Georgia soon and then likely take an unofficial visit to Tennessee after they name a coach according to a postgame interview with Mays after last night's State Championship win.

Mays recently spoke to TigerNet on his visit to Clemson during his official visit for The Citadel game.

“I really enjoyed it. I spent a lot of time with Coach (Robbie) Caldwell and Coach (Dabo) Swinney,” Mays said. “Everybody was very kind to me and they made me feel like family. I'm very appreciative of that. I spent a lot of time with the players - mostly the offensive line. I spent a lot of time with my former teammate, Amari Rodgers, and one of my middle school best friends, Mike Jones. We've built a very good relationship since middle school and have been good friends since then. I just enjoyed everything about my visit. It was first class.”

Mays said the entire trip to Clemson was just awesome.

“Just the way I was treated when I was there,” Mays said. “Everybody was very kind. We went to Coach Swinney's house with all of the guys who were on officials and had dinner. It was just first class. Everything about it was awesome.”

Mays was seen wearing Clemson gloves during his team's Tennessee 5A State Championship win on Thursday night.

Mays had a left ankle injury and was helped off the field with 4:13 left in the game.

Mays reportedly wants to make a final college decision on Dec. 20.
