Chris Chancellor - Defensive Back
Height: 5-9   Weight: 163   Hometown: Miami, FL (Edison HS)   Class: 2005
ESPN: NR

Chris Chancellor committed to Clemson earlier in the week, despite earlier reports that he was a lock for Florida State. Chancellor may be undersized, but he possesses incredible ball skills.

"In three years, I had 24 interceptions breaking my head coach's old record of 14. I am able to recognize the ball routes very well. I can see the route and get a great jump on the ball. I am ball hungry. They always asked me to cover the other team's best receiver this year. I would say I am a man-to-man corner."

Chancellor played in one of the toughest regions in Dade-Broward County. Chancellor feels playing against a high level competition in high school has prepared him for his time at Clemson.

"Everyone here loves the game. It was a tough challenge every Friday night. I am looking forward to the challenge of playing in the ACC now."

Chris' brother Demerick committed to the Tigers earlier in the process. Chris compared himself to Demerick in our most recent interview.

"We have been close for a good while now. Demerick lived in Texas for awhile. Then, he came back here to play his 11th grade year. He was the first to choose Clemson, and now I feel it is best place for me as well. Demerick is faster, he runs a 4.3, I run a 4.4. He has the bigger body, but my footwork and quickness is better. We are pretty competitive with each other."

The local ABC affiliate is expected to be at Edison High School when possibly eight or nine players sign their letters of intent.
